Becoming an Educated Investor in America

May 5, 2009

What does it take to become an educated investor in America?  Why am I singling out America in this podcast?  Well, first off, this is where I grew up and the society that I most understand experientially; secondly, it seems that there is no other place in the world where our attention is so fragmented and lured towards options to consume one thing or another.  In fact, it is obvious to me that raising the collective financial IQs of Americans is not in the best interest of (most) American businesses and politicians – especially, those affiliated with the banking and consumer goods sectors, who work together to literally feeds off of our ignorance.  We all know the mess that we’re in; but let us never forget how or why we got here in the first place.
